Message from John Noble, Chairman and CEO

Welcome to Northwestern Travel on-the-web.

Notwithstanding our many electronic efficiencies, we hope you will come to visit us someday person-to-person. Personal relationships are what we do best.

Personal relationships begin with hiring good people who in turn attract good customers. Starting back in 1969, when I founded Northwestern Travel, we began a practice of hiring good people and then getting out of their way. That's still pretty much how we operate around here. We set clear goals. We believe in each other. We don't take ourselves too seriously and we don't judge each other harshly. We show up, do good work, and then go home and have a life.

On our corporate campus in Edina, Minnesota, tree shaded buildings are named after Hawaiian islands; conference rooms after Hawaiian cities. My car license plate has always been ALOHA.

In the Hawaiian language: "Aloha is more than a word of greeting or farewell or a salutation. Aloha means mutual regard and affection, and extends warmth in caring with no obligation in return. Aloha means to hear what is not said, to see what cannot be seen and to know the unknowable. Aloha is the essence of relationships in which each person is important to every other person for collective existence."

The Aloha spirit is how we, atNorthwestern Travel, do our best work for each other and for each customer. If this appeals to you, please see about how our people can help your people manage their travel.

No rush. We'll be around for at least as long as we've been around.

Aloha,
