New Hotel Adjacent to Pittsburgh Convention
Center
The Pittsburgh Sports & Exhibition Authority has announced it is focusing
on developing a 500-to-600 room hotel at Penn Avenue and 10th Street.
The property would be adjacent to the $354 million David L. Lawrence Convention
Center, which is currently two-thirds of the way complete. Marriott International,
Inc. and Forest City Enterprises of Cleveland are currently the frontrunners
to manage the new hotel.
