Amtrak Steps Up Security
The FBI warning about potential terrorist threats aimed at the nation's rail system prompted Amtrak to step up security, requiring passengers to present a valid photo ID to board its trains. Amtrak normally requires passengers to produce a photo ID when purchasing a ticket. Additionally, Amtrak police officers will be more visible at certain stations and on trains.
