Online Check-in News
Continental
Extends Online Check-in Times
As of June 19, Continental Airlines customers may now check in for flights
using Continental’s online check-in up to 30 hours before departure,
extending the pre-departure check-in period from 12 hours.
Additionally, Continental is offering a 1,000-bonus mile offer for OnePass
frequent flyer program members checking in for flights using the new continental.com
Check-in service. To qualify, OnePass members must register at continental.com
prior to checking in. The 1,000-mile bonus applies once per member. The
offer is valid through September 30, 2003.
Continental was the first airline to offer electronic check-in capabilities,
with the deployment of the industry's first self-check-in kiosks in 1995.
Today, Continental offers more kiosks per customer than any other major
airline, with 720 eService Centers in 119 U.S. airports. With online and
kiosk check-in options, fewer than 30 percent of Continental's U.S. originating
customers today check in for flights using the conventional ticket counter
process.
